Mischief Maker Studios (MMS) is a multi-media entertainment company that develops and controls a library of properties and storylines. Our focus is on breaking new talent and constantly discovering, fostering and developing new material.
Creatively driven by Brian Pulido with prudent management by Francisca Pulido and her team of experienced professionals in the areas of business, law and finance, MMS acquires, develops and packages books, articles, scripts, comics, motion comics, web comics and graphic novels with world renowned partners, creators and clients to realize their full sales potential across all media platforms including film, television, print, online, mobile, gaming, and merchandising.
We both acquire and grant licenses for a wide variety of publishing and products.
MISSION
MMS’s mission is to produce and arrange financing and distribution for up to two commercial feature films per year in the action, thriller, sci-fi, horror, and comedy genres, targeting the 12 – 29 year old audience. We seek wide-appeal stories that can open on 2000 + screens.
Everyone on the Mischief Maker team is encouraged to discover new talent. Our mandate is to create a community of powerhouse creatives.
Each year, MMS will acquire rights to, and fully develop, two (2) properties suitable for studio level film production.
MMS will acquire the rights to an additional two (2) properties, suitable for development, for a total of four (4) properties, whose rights are held and controlled by MMS.
MANAGEMENT
BRIAN PULIDO – Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Brian Pulido’s experience ranges from award-winning film producing to comic book publishing, screenwriting and media branding. His eye for talent has introduced dozens of top-tier talent into the world of entertainment.
Pulido produced and directed, “The Graves”, a feature film distributed by After Dark Films, Lionsgate, SyFy and additional International distributors. In 2011, He teamed with Avatar Press and produced “Stitched”, the directorial debut of Preacher co-creator Garth Ennis.
As producer / director his recent clients include Facebook, American Express and Wilson Dow Group.
Pulido was the leading independent comic publisher of the 1990’s, with sales exceeding twenty million dollars and titles translated into a dozen languages. Pulido won twelve international printing awards and oversaw hundreds of licensed items including action figures, statues, trading cards, posters, prints, barware and apparel.
Pulido has created and written hundreds of comic books including Lady Death, and Evil Ernie and licensed comics including A Nightmare on Elm St., Chucky, Friday The 13th and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. He’s published licensed comics for WWE and movie brands including Universal’s The Mummy and Halloween.
He wrote and produced Lady Death, an animated feature from ADV Films that sold over 300K DVDs. His award-winning short film, “There’s Something Out There” has garnered eight festival wins. His music video, Calabrese’s “Voices of The Dead”, has exceeded 1.3 million views on YouTube.
Pulido is on the board of directors for The Hero Initiative, a non-profit organization that raises funds for comic book veterans in need.
Pulido is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts Motion Picture and Television Department.
FRANCISCA PULIDO – President & Chief Operating Officer
Francisca Pulido has distinguished herself in the creative arts and in business throughout her award-winning career.
As Co-Founder, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Chaos! Comics, the company rose to become the number one independent comic publisher of the 1990’s, winning twelve international printing awards and three prestigious customer service awards.
Through Pulido Publications, Francisca’s book publishing venture, she was Chief Creative Officer of “Indonesian Cuisine”, a high-end cookbook that is considered the definitive book on the subject. Indonesian Cuisine sold ten thousand copies in twenty four months.
Francisca owns Pulido Design Studios, which provides high-end interior design services for commercial clients. Recent projects include the complete re-design of Anderson’s Fifth Estate in Scottsdale into Club Forbidden. She’s also an on-camera spokesperson appearing on Fox News and AZTV, among others. She was the host for the TV pilot “Spiritual Spaces”.

Francisca co-founded the annual “Comic Book Legal Defense Fund Art Auction” which raised 200K to fight first amendment right abuses and she created “Healing Creations” for Camp Sunrise and The American Cancer Foundation.
